Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 academic year in Tampa, Florida, serving students in grades K-12. This contract position runs from August 12, 2025, through May 23, 2026, with the possibility of renewal based on performance. The role offers flexibility in scheduling, with options to work between one and five days per week, providing 7.5-hour workdays.
Location and Schools Served:
Assignments span the Tampa metropolitan area, covering locations as far-flung as Oldsmar, Plant City, and Ruskin, which may involve commutes of up to an hour. Schools include elementary, middle, and high schools such as Apollo Beach K-8, Belmont Elementary, Burnett Middle School, and Riverview High, among others. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certified SLPs holding CCCs or Clinical Fellows (CFs) with active Florida licensure prior to start date
- Clinical Fellows are welcome but must arrange their own supervision
- Familiarity with school-based caseload management
- Ability to complete and maintain all required background prints, including specific district prints and AHCA prints (cost applies)
Responsibilities:
- Manage an average caseload of approximately 55 students
- Provide direct speech-language services in a dedicated or shared therapy room
- Maintain required documentation and adhere to district-specific compliance forms and procedures
- Collaborate with the speech team and participate in an initial Zoom interview with the SLP coordinator to discuss district-specific processes and team structure
