Job Description

Provides hands-on sorting and preparation support for producing accurate quality and quantity of recycled paper stock for mill customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Consistently demonstrate and incorporate principles of safety for self and others into daily activities.
• Attend required safety training and participate in emergency drills and exercises.
• Report all safety and quality problems to the Production Leads or Production Manager.
• Sort materials, such as paper or plastics, into appropriate piles for further processing.
• Remove all foreign materials, such as metals, wood, and plastics, depositing materials into collection bins.
• Stack and band pallets and Gaylords per requirements of the facility.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Essential Skills

• Ability to show up for all scheduled shifts.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk/bend/lift continuously and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.
• Ability to work independently or in a group.
• Strong attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested.
• Must submit to a pre-placement background check.
• Occasional climbing/balancing.
• Requires continuous standing and frequent lifting/carrying, stooping/bending/squatting/pulling/pushing, twisting of the trunk and neck, reaching and grasping/squeezing.

Work Environment

Shift 1 - 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with overtime as needed. The role involves working in a cleanroom environment, continuously standing, and performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and sorting materials. Employees must adhere to safety protocols and participate in safety training and emergency drills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of De Pere, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
