HR Generalist

Direct Hire: $28 - $30/hr
Overview
A well-established manufacturing company is looking for an early-career HR Generalist who is eager to grow, learn, and be developed within a fast-paced HR environment. This is a great opportunity for someone 2-3 years out of school who wants to build a strong HR foundation across recruiting, compliance, employee relations, and HR operations. Key Responsibilities
- Support the full talent acquisition cycle across an average of 10 open requisitions at a time, including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and onboarding
- Administer employee leaves including LOA, FMLA/CFRA, workers' compensation, and leave monitoring for all employees
- Manage the semi-annual performance review process in alignment with salary review and bonus cycles
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping for hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, and leaves
- Manage and process reporting requests from corporate leadership in a timely and accurate manner
- Conduct surveys, research, and data analysis related to HR policies, compensation, and employee relations initiatives
- Support preparation of HR documents including organizational charts, policies and procedures, and employee handbooks
- Manage state and federal HR compliance reporting requirements
- Support payroll processes with a solid understanding of payroll principles, though not responsible for processing
- Build and maintain HR data in Excel including formulas and pivot tables for reporting and analysis
- Provide general HR support across functions and projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
- 2-3 years of HR generalist or HR functional experience preferred
- Working knowledge of California employment law and federal labor regulations is required
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including formulas and pivot tables
- Experience with ADP preferred; BambooHR or LinkedIn Recruiter experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Well-spoken and professional with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
