Position Title: Food Safety Technician 2nd Shift

Type of Position: Full-time hourly, 40 hours/week

Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 (based on experience)

Position Summary:

This position reports directly to the Food Safety Manager and assist the Food Safety Manager in total management and upkeep of our Food Safe Policy and corresponding certification, SQF. This person will spend most of their time in the prep and packaging halls.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete pre-operation and post-operation inspections (as required by production schedule).

• Complete allergen change over and sanitation inspections.

• Monitoring assigned critical control points.

• Managing company Food Safety and HACCP plans through collection of required documentation.

• Raw & Finished product evaluation (code dates, weight, quality, etc.).

• Pre-production Best By Date posting.

• Monitoring and reporting GMP & Safety compliance of employees in production.

• Adhere to GFSI policies and procedures.

· Review SQF records and forms needed on 2nd shift.

• Must work safely at all times and comply with all safety policies and procedures.

• Comply with Micheles Granola’s policies and procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· HS Diploma or equivalent.

· Must be at least 18 years of age to work in the warehouse.

· A minimum of 6 months to 1-year experience desired.

· Must be detailed oriented and have excellent follow up skills.

· Must be able to communicate in English (highly preferred)

· Must demonstrate basic math skills.

· Must be proficient in reading and writing.

· Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

· Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include holidays and weekends.

• Employee needs to walk, stand, and use hands to finger dexterity, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear.

• Must be able to work around cleaning Chemicals, for example, PerOx, Bleach and sanitizer.

• Must be able to lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
