Job DescriptionPosition Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Wholesale banking leader to drive the Bank’s Financial Institutions (FI), Fund Financing, and Syndicated Lending strategy. This role will lead business growth, portfolio quality, and team performance while ensuring full regulatory and policy compliance across U.S. operations and Head Office governance standards.

The ideal candidate brings deep wholesale banking expertise, strong client relationship management capabilities, and a proven ability to build and scale institutional lending portfolios.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Growth

• Lead and execute the Bank’s strategic growth initiatives across Financial Institutions, fund finance, and syndicated lending markets.

• Develop and implement annual business plans aligned with overall management objectives.

• Identify market opportunities, structure competitive financing solutions, and drive new revenue generation in target industries.

• Establish performance goals and KPIs for marketing and relationship management teams.

Portfolio & Risk Management

• Oversee credit quality and asset performance within the assigned portfolio.

• Conduct regular portfolio reviews to proactively manage credit risk and prevent deterioration.

• Ensure all lending activities adhere to internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and Head Office guidelines.

• Prepare and review high-quality credit approval memoranda and financial analyses for new transactions.

Client Development & Relationship Management

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients to deepen wallet share and originate new opportunities.

• Lead origination efforts for syndicated and bilateral lending transactions.

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients by delivering tailored financing solutions.

Operational & Regulatory Oversight

• Ensure business operations are conducted efficiently and in full compliance with U.S. banking regulations and Head Office standards.

• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with credit, risk, operations, and senior management.

• Execute strategic assignments as directed by executive leadership.

Team Leadership

• Supervise, mentor, and develop relationship managers and associates.

• Foster a high-performance culture focused on disciplined growth and risk management.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in wholesale banking, corporate banking, or financial institutions coverage.

• Demonstrated experience in syndicated lending, fund finance, and FI business development.

• Proven track record of originating and managing institutional loan portfolios.

• Strong credit analysis and structuring expertise.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

• Bilingual fluency in Mandarin and English required.

• Authorized to work in the United States.

• Willingness to work extended hours as business demands require.
