We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Bohemia, New York. This is a temporary to permanent position, expected to be on contract for only 1 to 2 months before converting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in assisting weekly payroll and managing bookkeeping operations.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks, ensuring all transactions are properly documented.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment tracking.
• Reconcile bank statements to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial data.
• Support the general ledger by entering transactions and performing necessary adjustments.
• Handle payroll processing on a weekly basis.
• Assist with financial reporting and provide support during audits as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline bookkeeping processes.
• Utilize Service Fusion for bookkeeping tasks, if applicable, to enhance operational efficiency.
• Address discrepancies and resolve issues related to financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
• Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience in a detail-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing financial records and transactions.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Experience with high-volume invoicing and maintaining organized records.
• Familiarity with payroll processing systems such as Accu Data is preferred.
• Ability to work onsite in Bohemia, New York.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Service Fusion is a plus, but not mandatory.
