Job Title: Hands on Warehouse Supervisor
Job Description
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees day-to-day warehouse operations for a new manufacturing plant, including receiving, storage, picking, and packing, while leading and developing a team of warehouse associates. This role ensures productivity, quality, and safety standards are consistently met, supports accurate inventory management, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet business needs. The Warehouse Supervisor also identifies operational issues and recommends process improvements to enhance efficiency and service levels.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, and packing, to ensure efficient and accurate operations. (Will be hands on picking orders when need be)
- Lead, coach, and motivate warehouse associates to achieve productivity, quality, and safety targets.
- Assign daily work tasks, monitor progress, and adjust priorities to ensure deadlines and service levels are met.
- Oversee onboarding and training of new employees and provide ongoing performance feedback to team members.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards throughout the warehouse.
- Support inventory accuracy by assisting with cycle counts and maintaining organized warehouse space.
- Identify operational issues, inefficiencies, and bottlenecks, and recommend process improvements to management.
- Coordinate closely with the Warehouse Manager and cross-functional teams to support overall business requirements.
- Monitor the use of warehouse equipment and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.
Essential Skills
- Proven supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, develop, and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills to provide clear instructions and constructive feedback.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing operational demands.
- Working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and safety practices.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Experience using warehouse or inventory management systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Back ground in logistics, inventory management, and warehouse management. Preferred to have some manufacturing experience.
- Strong team-building skills with a focus on collaboration and support.
- Ability to identify process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Apopka, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
