This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room, focusing on circulating nurse duties in a Level 2 Trauma Center environment. The role involves ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical processpre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative carefollowing the highest standards of professional practice and evidence-based guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient safety in the OR, adhering to AORN Standards and protocols.
- Perform thorough assessments and implement individualized care plans.
- Collaborate effectively within the surgical team to deliver seamless care.
- Participate in orientation and maintain BLS certification.
- Work varied shifts including early mornings, afternoons, and evenings, with scheduled call responsibilities.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current RN license in North Dakota or compact RN licensure.
- CNOR certification is preferred but not mandatory for this circulator role.
- BLS certification required within the orientation period.
- Minimum two years of experience in the specialty preferred.
- Experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center environment is an asset.
- Prior travel nursing experience and proficiency with Cerner documentation systems.
- Knowledge of asepsis and infection control principles.
- Ability to function effectively as a contributing team member with sound clinical judgment.
Schedule:
- Shifts vary between 05:45 and 21:30 hours.
- Call rotation one day per week plus selected weekends over a six-week period.
