Essential Job Functions

  • Manage all procurement functions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Oversee multiple suppliers and track their performance.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment and delivery terms, and contracts for standard inventory items.
  • Support non-inventory purchasing needs.
  • Evaluate and monitor current pricing trends.
  • Maintain awareness of raw material stock levels.
  • Resolve discrepancies between material orders and received goods.
  • Perform data entry into the company’s business system.
  • Collaborate with the Parts Department to maintain cost-effective raw material and packaging levels.
  • Coordinate pick list requirements with Project Managers and Service Operations.
  • Set up and onboard new suppliers in the APS Business System.
  • Manage the “Bill Received/Price Review” process.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with project managers, engineers, clients, suppliers, and contractors.

Additional Job Functions

  • Perform scheduled administrative tasks.
  • Become proficient in multiple functions of the in-house business software system.
  • Provide coverage for other office personnel during absences or vacations.
  • Handle other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of basic procurement and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, accuracy, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and trade secrets.
  • Capable of working independently and following management direction.
  • Effective team player with strong collaboration skills.

Experience & Education Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (AAS) or equivalent experience.
  • 2–3 years of administrative experience required.
  • Procurement or purchasing experience preferred.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Valid and appropriate state driver’s license (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check.
