Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years occupational therapy experience required.
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support K-12 students in a middle school setting. This position offers a full-time contract for the uping school year, providing direct intervention for mild to moderate students within the school environment. You will collaborate closely with two onsite Occupational Therapists to deliver prehensive support aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy services under the supervision of licensed Occupational Therapists.
- Support students with mild to moderate developmental and functional challenges.
- Assist in the development and execution of individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to promote student success.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and valid COTA certification.
- Experience working with K-12 students, preferably within school settings.
- Ability to support students with diverse learning and physical needs.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage caseload and collaborate with OT team.
Location:
- Position based in Indiantown, Florida, within a middle school environment.
Schedule:
- Full time, 35-40 hours per week.
- Contract duration aligned with the school year (NSY).
