Summer Intern –

Overview
Altek Electronics is seeking Summer Interns to support key continuous improvement initiatives across the company. This role focuses on company wide TAKT time analysis as well as operational efficiency projects within our production area. Students will gain hands on experience in a real manufacturing environment while contributing to meaningful process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, measure, and analyze TAKT time data across multiple production areas.
• Identify bottlenecks, waste, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Support operational efficiency efforts focused on workflow, equipment use, and throughput.
• Develop visual tools, charts, and documentation to communicate findings.
• Partner with production teams, engineers, and supervisors to implement improvements.
• Present recommendations and progress updates to leadership.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
• Interest in lean manufacturing concepts.
• Comfortable working on the production floor and gathering hands on data.
• Proficiency in Excel or other analysis tools is helpful.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
