Accounting Manager - Construction

Position Overview
The Accounting Manager for the Construction division will oversee financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting practices and effective financial management. This role is critical in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting, while also providing strategic insights to support the company's growth in the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll accounting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports, providing insights into financial performance and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure proper cost tracking and project profitability analysis.
  • Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Utilize Sage accounting software to manage financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and generate reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting practices and principles.
  • Proficient in Sage accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Payroll, Taxes, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and more.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
