JOB TITLE: Class A CDL Driver (Hazmat & Tanker)
SUMMARY
Responsible for providing chemical deliveries to company warehouses, customer yards/warehouses, frac sites, and customer oilfield leases. OTR and local deliveries. Safely operate a tractor-trailer (Isotainer, dry-van, flatbed), 1-ton pickup gooseneck combo, and/or stake-bed truck over interstate highways, city streets, rural roads, lease roads, and muddy/sandy roads. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Safely operate assigned vehicle
- Accurately strap totes/isotainers and maintain delivery records
- Pump from totes or drums into tanks
- Pump products from Isotainer to Isotainer
- Operate various pumps (PTO, pneumatic, electric) and hoses
- Maintain truck to company standard of vehicle cleanliness
- Ensure truck and all pumps, hoses, and equipment are in safe and operable condition, and perform routine inspections and maintenance
- Report maintenance issues with vehicles, tanks, strapping, etc. for PM scheduling and/or immediate repairs
- Safely strap down totes/pallets on trailers per DOT standards
- Complete all pre-trip and post-trip reports
- Operate in accordance with DOT regulations and be aware of proper placarding and documentation
- Obtain BOL, SDS, and all proper shipping papers before each load
- Follow all company standard operating procedures
- Be aware of client/site expectations, proper PPE per company policy, and emergency protocol on every trip
- Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the workplace
- Occasionally perform deliveries on weekends or that require an overnight stay
- Physically capable of lifting/loading/unloading up to 75 lbs
- Follow notification protocol for reporting all accidents, injuries, customer complaints, wrong product deliveries or returns, mishaps, near-miss incidents, environmental damage, or other product or service non-compliance issues
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE:
- Minimum high school graduate or GED
- Current Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
- Two years of commercial driving experience
- No more than 3 moving violations
- Able to operate a forklift
- Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings
