Minimum Qualifications
\n
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited educational program.
- Active California PTA license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- No new graduates. Previous outpatient experience is required.
- Demonstrated competency in patient evaluation, treatment plan implementation, goal writing, and documentation in compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
- Ability to supervise and delegate discipline-specific therapy tasks and to participate in student clinical education as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with outpatient orthopedic conditions and functional treatment program design.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation, charges entry, and letters of medical necessity.
- Completion of continuing education relevant to outpatient physical therapy practice.
