Position Overview
Baldwinsville Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated, mission-driven Head Administrator to provide spiritual, academic, and operational leadership for our K–12 school. This individual will serve as the chief administrator of the academy, working closely with faculty, parents, Faith Baptist Church, and the school board to uphold the school’s mission of delivering Christ-centered education with academic excellence. The Head Administrator will oversee all aspects of day-to-day school operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and spiritually enriching environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Spiritual & Missional Leadership
Cultivate and protect the Christian mission, vision, and values of BCA in alignment with the doctrinal convictions of Faith Baptist Church
Provide spiritual mentorship and encouragement to students, faculty, and families
Lead, coordinate, and/or support chapel services, devotions, and school-wide spiritual development programs
Model a vibrant, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and ensure a Biblical worldview is integrated into all aspects of the curriculum and school culture
Academic & Instructional Oversight
Oversee curriculum development and implementation, instructional quality, and academic standards across all grade levels (K–12)
Conduct classroom observations and teacher evaluations, while providing constructive feedback to support professional growth
Ensure compliance with applicable state educational regulations and any voluntary accreditation standards
Promote a culture of academic excellence and student achievement rooted in a biblical worldview
Operational & Administrative Management
Manage day-to-day logistics and administrative functions, including scheduling, school calendar planning, compliance with state regulations, and school safety protocols
Maintain awareness of the budget through regular communication with the bookkeeper
Collaborate with those working on marketing and community development strategies
Communicate as needed with the facilities manager
Represent BCA at School Board meetings and with church leadership and provide regular reports on school operations and progress
Work closely with the School Board to implement strategic goals
Ensure policies align with the mission and values of the academy
Participate in or lead occasional evening or weekend events and meetings
Staff Leadership & Development
Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard qualified Christian educators and support staff
Plan and facilitate regular staff meetings, professional development sessions, and in-service training
Address personnel concerns, conduct performance reviews, and make staffing decisions in coordination with the School Board
Foster a positive, collaborative, grace-filled, and mission-driven work environment
Student, Family, & Community Relations
Lead student recruitment and retention efforts, as well as student enrollment and admissions processes
Build strong relationships with current and prospective families
Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase enrollment and community visibility.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding school programs and student progress
Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for parents and families
Address student behavioral and disciplinary matters with biblical wisdom and fairness
Build and maintain a strong, collaborative relationship with the pastoral staff and membership of Faith Baptist Church
Serve as a visible, Christ-honoring representative of BCA within the church and broader community to promote BCA’s mission and to strengthen partnerships
Required Qualifications and Attributes
A born-again believer in Jesus Christ with an active, growing personal faith and consistent Christian testimony
Full agreement with the doctrinal statement and educational philosophy of Baldwinsville Christian Academy and Faith Baptist Church and a commitment to Christian education
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field preferred
Prior experience in educational leadership and staff management (principal, administrator, or similar role preferred)
Strong relational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, church members, and board members
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of K–12 curriculum, instructional best practices, and student development
Meaningfully involved in a local Bible-believing church
A humble servant-leader who leads by example with wisdom and integrity and reflects the character of Christ
A heart for children, families, and the ministry of Christian education
Vision for growth and long-term sustainability of the school
Resilience, flexibility, and a positive attitude in navigating the unique challenges of Christian school leadership
