About the Role
We are seeking a friendly, detail‐oriented Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, has strong communication skills, and enjoys helping patients select eyewear that fits their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal style.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients with frame selection based on prescription, visual needs, facial measurements, and style preferences
- Take accurate optical measurements including PDs, segment heights, vertex distance, and frame adjustments
- Recommend lens options, coatings, and materials to optimize visual performance
- Place, track, and verify lens and frame orders with optical labs
- Perform precise eyewear fitting, adjustments, and repairs
- Maintain product knowledge of frames, lenses, and optical technology
- Educate patients on eyewear care and proper lens usage
- Manage inventory, display merchandising, and frame board presentation
- Ensure accurate patient records and compliance with office procedures
- Provide excellent customer service and assist with front desk tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Previous opticianry experience preferred (licensed or unlicensed)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to perform detailed work with accuracy
- Comfortable working in a fast‐paced, patient‐focused environment
- Familiarity with optical equipment and practice software is a plus
