We are seeking an experienced Truck Driver to operate heavy trucks across regional and cross-country routes. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and safe delivery of cargo, maintain vehicle compliance and logs, and effectively manage their routes to meet scheduling demands.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy trucks safely across regional and cross-country routes
- Navigate assigned delivery routes efficiently
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate driving logs and documentation
- Manage fuel usage and vehicle resources effectively
- Coordinate delivery schedules and communicate with dispatch
- Handle cargo securely during transport (not responsible for loading/unloading)
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of truck driving experience
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Preferred Qualifications
- Defensive driving skills
- Experience with route planning
- Proficient in logbook management
- Effective time management abilities
- Strong communication skills
