Mechanical Line Assembler – 1st Shift (5am to 1:30pm)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
A reputable manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to join their production team. This position is responsible for assembling mechanical components and subassemblies in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies according to work instructions, blueprints, and parts lists
- Gather necessary materials, tools, and hardware prior to assembly
- Position and align parts using measurements, templates, and specifications
- Inspect and verify completed assemblies to ensure proper fit and quality standards
- Adjust components as needed to meet specifications and report issues to supervision
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately
- Perform basic troubleshooting and assist with preventative maintenance of equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical assembly instructions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of torque specifications
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly (light electrical or heavy equipment a plus)
- Forklift experience preferred
- Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment is a plus
- Experience in a technical or industrial manufacturing setting
