Join our team as a Plastic Fabrication and Welding Specialist, where you will fabricate and weld complex plastic parts according to detailed specifications. This role requires leadership abilities and the initiative to train others while working closely with customers to support prototype manufacturing opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld complex plastic parts to drawing specifications.
- Train and assist colleagues, demonstrating leadership skills.
- Engage with customers, answering questions and aiding in prototype manufacturing.

Essential Skills
- 6-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on fabrication.
- Ability to identify and weld various plastics, including WPP, NPP, PVC, FRPP, PE, Polycarbonate, CPVC, PVDF, FM4910, Acetal, Acrylics, PET, PEEK, UHMW, HDPE, PTFE, and PFA materials.
- Competency in using equipment for Pure bond, Socket fusion, and Butt weld.
- Experience in clean room environments.
- Capability to work with customers both on-site and in-house.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineered drawings and bills of materials.
- Experience using manual mills and lathes.
- Ability to adapt and work safely in hazardous environments.
- Competency in using a variety of hand tools, electric tools, and measuring tools.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in gluing and bending plastics using heat.
- Troubleshooting skills for resolving problems as they arise.
- Ability to make threads on pipes and round rods.

Work Environment
Work in a plastic manufacturing environment that adheres to International Standards Organization (ISO) certifications. The facility may contain some noise and plastic chips, with safety glasses and hearing protection recommended. Compliance with company safety practices and procedures is essential. Be prepared to stand for designated shifts and lift up to 35 lbs while maintaining a professional appearance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tigard, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
