Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT license in Arizona, or eligibility to obtain before the start date
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric environment strongly preferred
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and implement evidence-based interventions
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and school teams
- Familiarity with IEPs, progress monitoring, and data-based documentation
- Strong organizational skills and a commitment to student well-being
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of student needs related to motor skills, self-care, and participation in school activities
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to develop and implement IEP goals and strategies
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to promote student success and independence
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and reports in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, sharing observations and recommendations
- Educate stakeholders on enhancing students’ functional abilities within the school setting
- Adjust therapy approaches in response to student progress and team input
