Title: Corporate Accountant (Contract role )
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Schedule: 40 hr week. In-office from Monday to Thursday 10 to 4 pm. The rest of the time you will work from home
Compensation: Hourly rate of $30-$60/hr, negotiable depending on experience
Requirements: 2+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or corporate finance roles. Must have experience with Netsuite.
We a veteran game development and publishing studio based in Austin, Texas, with nearly three decades of industry experience. We have built built our reputation by expertly bringing major PC titles-like Call of Duty, Civilization, and classic Star Wars games-to new platforms, particularly Mac. Over the years, we have expanded its reach to all major gaming platforms including PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and mobile. Known for our focus on quality and preservation, they specialize in remastering beloved franchises and reimagining classic titles for modern audiences. With nearly 200 games in their portfolio, we have become a trusted name in delivering high-quality, nostalgic, and fan-driven experiences to players around the world.
At this time, we are looking to hire an Accountant that has Tax and Audit support to our team on a contract basis with an estimate of 3 months, with potential to extend with good performance.
Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage PBC (Prepared By Client) requests from external auditors and tax professionals.
Develop and update PBC reports and supporting documentation using NetSuite.
Support data migration tasks during the NetSuite implementation, including mapping, data validation, and reconciliation.
Work closely with Finance, IT, and third-party consultants to ensure accurate and timely delivery of data.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or corporate finance.
Solid understanding of financial reporting, audit procedures, and tax compliance requirements.
Proficient in NetSuite ERP, especially in areas such as financial reporting, saved searches, and data import/export.
Direct involvement with PBC support for audits and tax engagements.
Experience participating in ERP data migration projects, preferably involving NetSuite.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in the gaming or software sector.
Comfortable using Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, Slack, and Jira.
