Licensed Pratical Nurse (LPN)

Job Description

Job DescriptionSalary: $28-$30 Per Hour

Responsibilities:

• Greeting and rooming patients, collecting vitals, taking a brief history and chief complaint, reconciling, and updating medications, problem list, and other pertinent health information.
  Provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings
  Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
  Perform physical examinations and collect patient health history
  Assist provider in procedures such as pelvic exams/PAP smears, skin biopsies, etc.
  Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
• Educate patients and their families on healthcare management and self-care techniques
  Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Communicating with patients through telephone calls or a patient portal with test results, messages from providers, and triage any concerns.
• Work with pharmacies, and insurance companies to process orders, clarify instructions on prescriptions, and perform prior authorizations.

Experience:

• Minimum of 6-12 Months of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• CPR Certification
  Experience in acute care settings, including behavioral health and pediatric care, phlebotomy
  Familiarity with ICD-10 coding system for accurate documentation and billing purposes
• Qualifications:
  Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
  Strong knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and standards of care
  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
