<p>Job Description
<p>POSITION SUMMARY: The Ultrasound Technician directly works with patients and Providers and operates machinery equipment that uses high-frequency soundwaves to record images and scans of the body's internal organs. The Ultrasound Technician ensures images submitted to the Radiologist are optimal for reading and maintains utmost confidentiality.</p>
<p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p>
<ul>
<li>Prepare the exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct examinations.</li>
<li>Recognize and record the appropriate anatomy and pathology using sonographic equipment.</li>
<li>Care properly for sonography equipment and report equipment failure to Medical Center Administrator.</li>
<li>Complete tech report based upon the scan results and completion.</li>
<li>Alert appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that need immediate attention.</li>
<li>Maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality.</li>
<li>Other tasks as assigned.</li>
</ul>
<p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p>
<ul>
<li>High School diploma or GED Equivalent (required).</li>
<li>Successful completion of Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.</li>
<li>Current active Florida state license (required).</li>
<li>Excellent Interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Work independently or with minimal supervision and as part of a team</li>
