Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A School Psychologist is sought for a contract position within a reputable school in Boston, MA. This role is integral in supporting students academic, emotional, and social development through comprehensive psychological services.
Responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments, interpreting test results, and collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs). The role involves providing counseling support, crisis intervention, and consultation to promote a positive learning environment. The School Psychologist will also participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide initiatives aimed at improving student outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting assessment data
- Strong knowledge of child development, learning disabilities, and mental health issues
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other school personnel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with current educational laws and regulations related to special education
