Position Overview:
Our nursing staff collaborates in dynamic environments with robust interdisciplinary teams, emphasizing a patient-centered care approach within a diverse workplace. Under the guidance and general oversight of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse employs evidence-based practices in line with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and directives from the medical team. The registered nurse utilizes their knowledge and skills to create a care plan that addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of both patients and their families.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE: Familiarity with the nursing process and principles of customer service is essential. National certification in a specialty area is preferred. Experience in an acute care hospital setting is advantageous. IV skills are preferred. Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Must hold current BLS certification or complete it within the first three months of employment. ACLS certification is required for Emergency Department, Critical Care Unit, and designated staff in ACU/PACU and Endoscopy. ACLS is highly recommended for staff cross-trained in these areas. NNR certification is required for Obstetrics.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a valid CT RN license and be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
