Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a K-12 school setting in Thomasville, NC. This contract position provides a chance to work directly with young learners from Pre-K through Kindergarten, managing a caseload of approximately 4045 students. The role requires on-site presence, providing specialized speech and language services in alignment with school requirements.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology license (verification required)
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- NC Department of Public Instruction G License
- Experience with ECATS system is mandatory
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous exposure to school-based speech therapy services preferred
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will be used in this assignment
Location:
- Thomasville, North Carolina (specific site to be determined)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to Pre-K and Kindergarten students
- Manage and maintain a caseload of 40 to 45 students
- Utilize ECATS and Infinite Campus systems to document and track student progress
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student development
- Maintain compliance with all licensing and school district policies
Schedule and Duration:
- Contract assignment starts as soon as possible through June 9, 2026
- 25 to 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- On-site services only; remote work is not available for this position
