Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 07:00 AM – 07:00 PM
Compensation
Travel Candidates:
- $60 – $64/hour ($2,160 – $2,304 per week, based on experience)
Local Candidates:
- $50 – $55/hour ($1,800 – $1,980 per week, based on experience)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist to support cardiac surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cardiovascular surgeries, including open heart procedures, and demonstrate the ability to work independently while maintaining sterile technique and supporting the surgical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub independently for open heart surgical procedures.
- Assist during cardiac surgeries, including:
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
- Valve repair and replacement procedures
- Assist with vein harvesting (open technique required; endoscopic experience preferred).
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields and cardiac surgical instruments.
- Support surgical team during procedures involving heart-lung (bypass) machine and cell saver equipment.
- Ensure proper handling and preparation of surgical tools and supplies.
- Float to other operating room specialties based on daily case volume.
Required Qualifications
- Recent CVOR Surgical Technologist experience.
- Ability to scrub independently for open heart cases.
- Experience assisting with vein harvesting.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac surgical instruments and sterile techniques.
- Experience in cardiac surgery environments utilizing:
- Heart-lung (bypass) machine support
- Cell saver equipment
- Willingness and ability to float across multiple surgical specialties.
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills.
Floating Expectations
- Floating is required and may occur daily based on case volume.
- Potential float areas include:
- General Operating Room
- Vascular Surgery
- Other surgical specialties as needed
