Job DescriptionExcellent Client in Midland, TXis seeking:Survey/AutoCAD DraftsmanResponsibilities, Expectations & Work Environment:
- Draft well permits, as-drilled, pipelines, access roads, etc. using AutoCAD.
- Perform specific tasks as defined by Drafting Supervisor with little or no assistance required.
- Create, edit, and maintain drawings, documents and spreadsheets to client standards per supervisor’s instruction (verbal or written).
- Organizing, Planning and Prioritizing Work – Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish assigned work.
- Perform QA/QC of plats and survey data.
- Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Communication - Participating in discussions, meetings and e-mails with other members of the Drafting Department, Managers and Survey Crews. Update Supervisor continuously.
- Learning to efficiently utilize software and techniques that will allow the department to produce higher quality maps/drawings efficiently. Communicate any training needs or desires with Drafting Supervisor.
- Printing/Reproduction - Print and reproduce documents of various sizes utilizing all L&M printers, plotters, scanners and copiers, and electronically package drawings for delivery to client.
- Gathering Information – Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
- Continuous use of adaptive communication including strong listening skills.
- Ability to concentrate & simultaneously adapt to changing priorities.
Software: ACAD 2025, CARLSON SURVEY 2025, Google Earth, Microsoft 365Preferred Experience with boundary, oilfield and RRC.
