Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a valuable contract opportunity supporting K–4th grade students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the East Lansing area. This school-based role focuses on delivering high-quality therapy and communication support within a collaborative educational environment. You’ll play an important part in helping each child achieve their fullest potential during the upcoming fall semester.
Your schedule will be full-time at 35 hours per week, with the assignment running from August 17, 2026, through November 20, 2026. Experience working with elementary-aged children will be a key asset as you assess, plan, and deliver effective speech-language interventions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold an active Speech-Language Pathologist license for Michigan
- Previous experience in a school setting with K–4th grade caseloads strongly preferred
- Clinical Fellows (SLP-CFs) are not eligible for this role
- Demonstrates strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Able to adapt therapy approaches to individual student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ communication and language abilities to determine therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized, measurable treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student progress and generalization of skills
- Maintain timely documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support team discussions
