Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Complex Fitter and Welder to fabricate and repair metal components according to blueprints, layouts, and work orders. This role requires strong independence, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and proficiency in various welding techniques. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding processes.
- Select and set up welding equipment, including choosing the proper welding method.
- Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding, ensuring correct fit and alignment of parts.
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in multiple positions (flat, vertical, horizontal, overhead).
- Monitor welding processes to prevent overheating, distortion, or defects.
- Inspect welded joints to confirm compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Perform post-welding tasks including cleaning, grinding, and polishing to ensure smooth finishes.
- Maintain welding equipment in safe and efficient working condition.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and team members to meet deadlines and project requirements.

Qualifications
- Welding and fitting certification preferred.
- Proficiency in MIG welding and product setup.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of safety procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
