The Staff Pad has partnered with a respected healthcare organization to hire a Full-Time Night Shift Charge RN for its Medical-Surgical unit.
In this leadership role, you'll combine direct patient care with team leadership, guiding dedicated nursing staff while supporting exceptional patient outcomes and efficient unit operations.
Working alongside a collaborative leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to grow your leadership skills and make a meaningful impact every shift.
Schedule: Full-Time | Night Shift
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee daily unit operations during your shift
- Assign and support nursing staff based on patient acuity and unit needs
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards
- Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow
- Serve as a mentor, clinical resource, and leader for the nursing team
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care initiatives
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Alabama RN license or Multi-State Compact RN license
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire; PALS preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg or acute care nursing experience
- Previous Charge Nurse or leadership experience
