Assistant Buyer
Pay Rate: $20-$25/hour
Duration: Temporary, 2-3 months with potential to extend (leave coverage)
Start Date: 3/2/26
Schedule: Hybrid
• In-office Monday-Thursday (4 days onsite)
• Remote Friday
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Buyer to support the buying team during a maternity leave coverage. This role will assist with purchasing activities, data analysis, and coordination to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with numbers, enjoys working with data, and can quickly learn new systems in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support buying and purchasing activities through accurate data entry and analysis
- Maintain and update spreadsheets to track products, pricing, and inventory
- Assist with forecasting, calculations, and basic reporting
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and vendors
- Participate in Zoom and Microsoft Teams meetings
- Help ensure accuracy and attention to detail across all buying activities
Qualifications
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong math skills and comfort working with numbers
- Ability to learn new systems quickly
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment
- Fresh meat knowledge is a plus, but not required
Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
