HVAC Fabrication Technician

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (overtime available 6:00 AM–4:30 PM and occasional weekends)

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking HVAC Fabrication Technician to join our team. This role is temp-to-hire with long-term career potential for the right candidate.

The position involves working with a variety of hand and power tools—including jigsaws, table saws, and soldering irons—to fabricate HVAC vents for shielded rooms. Technicians will be expected to measure, cut, drill, solder, and read blueprints accurately, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure, cut, drill, and solder materials for HVAC fabrication and installation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings; accurately measure down to 1/16th of an inch.
  • Use hand tools and power tools (jigsaws, table saws, etc.) safely and effectively.
  • Fabricate HVAC vents according to specifications.
  • Work independently and remain on your feet for 8–10 hours a day in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while working in potentially dusty/dirty conditions.

Requirements:

  • Must have your own reliable transportation.
  • Prior experience with hand tools and power tools required; forklift experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read tape measures precisely and follow blueprints.
  • Steel-toe or composite-toe boots/shoes required.
  • Strong work ethic and desire for a long-term, full-time opportunity.
  • Comfortable working overtime and occasional weekends when needed.
  • No smoking or cell phones allowed during shift.

* Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, control boxes, drainpipes, and furnace casings. Work may involve any of the following: setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal; shaping metal over anvils, blocks, or forms using hammer; operating soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts; or inspecting, assembling, and smoothing seams and joints of burred surfaces. Includes sheet metal duct installers who install prefabricated sheet metal ducts used for heating, air conditioning, or other purposes.
