Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A virtual special education teaching opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year, serving K-12 students in New Hampshire. This contract position focuses on delivering effective instruction and positive behavioral supports to students with disabilities within a virtual framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using the NHSEIS system.
- Collaborate remotely with teachers, parents, and service providers via platforms such as Canvas, Zoom, and district-specific tools.
- Utilize data tracking and behavior monitoring systems like Panorama to assess student progress.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state special education laws, including IDEA and New Hampshire regulations, with attention to virtual service delivery.
- Conduct observations and prepare detailed reports on student learning behaviors.
- Provide positive behavioral support tailored to individual and group needs.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with school staff, administrators, families, and community members.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold current state certification in special education.
- Prior experience as a New Hampshire virtual case manager or special education teacher is required.
- Strong knowledge of special education law and virtual instructional methods.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to individual differences in ability, motivation, and personality.
- Experience supporting students with behavioral and affective disorders.
- Proven skills in positive behavioral interventions and data-driven instruction.
Location and Work Schedule:
- Position based in Claremont, NH.
- Up to 37.5 hours per week.
- Tentative dates from January 5, 2025, through June 12, 2026.
