This role sits within a sophisticated corporate finance organization and partners closely with real estate, development, construction, accounting, treasury, and executive leadership.
Why join us?
- Direct exposure to executive leadership and capital decision-making
- Meaningful ownership over a large, visible real estate investment portfolio
- Opportunity to evolve into a VP role as the organization grows
- Complex, interesting work at the intersection of finance, real estate, and operations
- Stable, highly profitable platform with strong growth momentum
Job Details
This is a highly visible finance leadership role at the intersection of commercial real estate, capital planning, and corporate FP&A. The Director will serve as the primary finance partner to the Real Estate and Development organization, owning financial modeling, business planning, and capital governance for a large, complex development pipeline.
The role blends deep analytical rigor with real-world business partnership. You will lead financial planning for new site investments, oversee asset-level performance for an existing portfolio, and support executive decision-making on capital allocation, return on invested capital, and long-range growth strategy. This role requires someone who can operate comfortably in both the details and the narrative, translating complex models into clear recommendations for senior leadership and the board.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial modeling and business planning for new real estate investments, including ground-up development, leases, and acquisitions
- Own capital budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis across a multi-hundred-million-dollar annual capex portfolio
- Oversee asset-level FP&A for existing properties, including maintenance, modernization, and remodel investments
- Serve as the finance bridge between development, construction, accounting, and corporate FP&A
- Support capital governance, investment prioritization, and executive-level decision making
- Manage and develop a team of FP&A professionals, elevating analytical rigor and business storytelling
- Partner closely with accounting and treasury on complex real estate transactions, including lease accounting and sale-leaseback structures
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A with deep exposure to commercial real estate or development
- Proven experience building complex financial models tied to capital investment decisions
- Strong understanding of real estate economics, return metrics, and development lifecycles
- Comfort working cross-functionally with construction, development, and accounting teams
- Experience leading and developing analytical teams
- Executive presence with the ability to influence, communicate, and drive alignment
