A school district in Lone Tree, CO, is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support high school students for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position runs from August 5, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with a caseload of approximately 25 students. The daily schedule is from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Deliver specialized instruction to high school students requiring special education services.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain detailed records of student performance and participate in team meetings.

- Valid teaching certification in special education.
