Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries and execute daily, month-end, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks to include, but not limited to billing, invoice processing, taxes, and reconciliations.

Perform balance sheet reconciliations and conduct analytical reviews of income statement accounts to ensure transaction accuracy.

Support with budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring proper expense allocation.

Provide support for internal and external audits.

Collaborate with finance and other internal/external teams to improve accounting processes.

Ensure compliance with company policies and HHSC standards.

Participate in special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience (preferred).

CPA certification or plans to obtain CPA licensure (a plus).

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel;

Ability to work independently while demonstrating accountability, teamwork, sound judgment, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficient in using accounting software and other relevant tools.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay: $DOE
Exempt hours: 40+ per week
