What You'll Do
Lead Hub Operations & Management
- Plan and coordinate client choice mobile food pantries and essential services throughout Eastern Montgomery County
- Develop and implement strategic operations and administrative activities for effective Hub management
- Manage comprehensive communications strategies, including print, social media, and electronic marketing, to reach intended audiences
- Oversee data management and reporting to KGCDC leadership, partners, and donors with regular cadence for decision-making and compliance
- Utilize management tools, including SmartChoice, Service Insights, Sign-up Genius, and other software platforms for ordering, distribution, and food management
Build Teams & Manage Resources
- Recruit, train, and manage staff and volunteers to support effective food distribution operations
- Collaborate with Kingdom Cares Center (KCC) Food Operations Manager to ensure adequate supply of healthy food and supplies for each mobile location
- Coordinate food transportation and logistics
Drive Community Partnerships & Outreach
- Lead community engagement efforts with residents, civic associations, businesses, and faith-based organizations to expand service access
- Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with Hub community partners to maximize benefits and reduce duplicative efforts
- Build strong partnerships with other Hub Coordinators and food access providers in the Montgomery County region
- Actively participate in Montgomery County Food Council and Peer Learning Circle meetings and trainings
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Solid computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy boxes with and without tools and machinery
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, lifts, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative work style
- Valid driver's license with experience operating 26-foot trucks
- Genuine passion for community service and fighting hunger
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Logistics, or related field
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities (highly valued for community outreach)
- Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or related field
- Background in community-based nonprofit organizations
Work Environment & Requirements
- Settings: Warehouse, outdoor locations, and office environments
- Physical demands: Ability to lift heavy items, operate warehouse equipment and large vehicles
- Schedule flexibility: Evening and weekend activities required
- Travel: Throughout Eastern Montgomery County for mobile pantry operations
