Job Title: Cost Accountant
Location: Clackamas, OR
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire, Fully Onsite
Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000 a year
Exciting opportunity for a Cost Accountant! LHH has partnered with a growing manufacturing company near Clackamas, OR, seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to join their team on a direct hire basis. This position will focus on product costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and support for manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has strong experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing or industrial environment and is detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze and maintain standard costs for products and materials
• Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions and perform cycle counts
• Prepare cost of goods sold (COGS) reports and manufacturing variance analysis
• Assist with monthly and year-end close, focusing on cost-related entries
• Support budgeting and forecasting by providing cost estimates and analysis
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve cost efficiencies
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred- not required
• 1+ years of cost or inventory accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and cost analysis methods
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
