As a Talent Acquisition Specialist your ability to identify individuals whose skills and values align with SFCU will be key in building a strong, sustainable talent pipeline. In this role you will lead the development and execution of recruitment using a variety of tools and platforms, outreach and managing the applicant tracking system. Your role is key to guiding candidates and teams through a positive and engaging hiring experience while showcasing your ability to effectively engage and build rapport with prospective candidates.

Reporting: This position has a hybrid option with required weekly reporting to the Sidney NY office. Travel to branch locations may be necessary as needed.

Compensation: $26.66-$33.33 Non-exempt


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Collaborate with HR, hiring managers and department heads to understand staffing requirements.

Oversee the administration of the applicant tracking systems and assessment programs.

Work with departments to develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and engage potential candidates.

Work with marketing department to utilize various recruitment channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and industry associations to source qualified candidates. Build a pipeline of potential candidates for current and future positions.

Review resumes and applications to identify candidates with required technical skills, characteristics, and qualifications,

Conduct initial phone screens and or assessments to determine candidate expertise, experience, and suitability for the role.

Create position specific/compliant interview templates to ensure consistency and effectiveness.

Participate in all in person or virtual interviews, evaluating candidates' technical knowledge, problem solving abilities, and interpersonal skills relative to the role.

Administer and oversee interpretation of applicant assessment programs to identify top candidates.

Responsible for processing the lifecycle of a new hire up until confirmed as a hire, communication, sending offer letters, background check audits, including reviewing results of required credit report with designated management to determine eligibility for hire, corresponding with hiring manager and HR on status and confirmation of eligibility.

Responsible for establishing and maintaining talent development relationships within our communities including colleges, attending job fairs, virtual events, working with local agencies to create pipelines for opportunity.

Work closely with managers to ensure accurate and up-to-date candidate records and documentation meeting compliance requirements.

Generate reports on recruitment and employee retention matrix.

Collaborate with Departments and HR on applicant correspondence during negotiations for hire.

Responsible for maintaining and submitting Affirmative Action documentation and reports annually.

Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to better assess candidates' skills/potential.

Responsible to ensure accurate affirmative action records, documentation, and annual reporting. Remain informed on NYS compliance changes, collaborating with HR to ensure successful annual reporting.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
