Title: Technical Revenue Accountant
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director-level Revenue Consultant to support complex, high-visibility commitment deals. This role sits at the intersection of technical accounting and deal operations, focused on translating ASC 606 accounting assessments into financial and operational execution.
This consultant will assist in thinking through and structuring deals. You must be highly technical, creative, and able to play an advisory role while working with deal teams, sales teams, and accounting teams to determine the best contract structures. Experience in a hypergrowth environment is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Operationalize technical accounting assessments (ASC 606) for complex, non-standard deals
- Translate accounting conclusions into financial execution
- Manage and execute manual workflows to support revenue recognition and deal accounting
- Act as a liaison between technical accounting and operational teams
- Adapt to changing processes and business requirements in a dynamic environment
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles
- Experience in revenue accounting, preferably in a tech/SaaS background
- Background in both technical accounting and operational execution
- Ability to interpret technical accounting guidance without needing to write formal memos
- High attention to detail
- Proven ability to work with urgency and meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Experience working on complex, non-routine deals
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hypergrowth companies or Bay Area–based environments
- Experience with Oracle ERP
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with SQL
- Adaptability and willingness to learn in evolving operational environments
Travel Requirements

Salary Range
SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. We take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. Compensation is based on a wide range of factors, including—but not limited to—education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training.
A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $85–110/hr.
