The Spa Attendant is responsible for providing 4-Star/4-Diamond guest service throughout the Sage Spa and Pool areas. This role supports spa operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting guests, restocking supplies, and ensuring all amenities are presented to the highest standard. The Attendant contributes to the spa experience by creating a welcoming environment and supporting the needs of both guests and spa staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cleans and maintains all Spa, Fitness, and Pool areas including therapy rooms, hallways, storage rooms, locker areas, Spa lobby, pool deck, and kiosks.
  • Greets guests upon arrival, offers tours of the facility, and answers general guest inquiries.
  • Ensures all guests receive service consistent with 4-Star/4-Diamond standards.
  • Stocks towels, robes, linens, and amenities in all spa and therapy areas.
  • Collects and replenishes spa and pool laundry; ensures clean towels and linens are available throughout the day.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the fitness center, including equipment sanitization and towel service.
  • Communicates supply needs to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Assists with set-up and breakdown of spa-related events or seasonal adjustments.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance or support to other team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of spa operations, guest service, and facility cleanliness standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional demeanor with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and uphold high standards of ethics and discretion.
  • Proficient in basic computer use and able to learn scheduling or maintenance reporting software.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Additional coursework in hospitality, wellness, or spa operations is a plus.
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a spa, fitness, or hospitality environment.
  • Proven ability to maintain cleanliness and organization of spa areas including locker rooms, lounges, and treatment rooms.
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional, courteous demeanor.
  • Ability to assist guests with lockers, robes, amenities, and general spa information.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in a resort, hotel, or wellness facility is preferred.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.

  • Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with guests, coworkers, and supervisors in person and by radio or telephone. Requires the ability to listen attentively and convey information with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Frequently lifts, carries, and transports supplies, towels, linens, and spa equipment weighing up to 35 pounds. May occasionally assist in lifting heavier items with team support.
  • Manual Dexterity: Regular use of hands and fingers to fold towels, operate spa equipment, and handle cleaning supplies. Requires fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for precise tasks.
  • Mobility: Frequently walks, stands, bends, stoops, and reaches throughout shift. Must be able to move quickly and efficiently between spa treatment rooms, locker areas, and laundry facilities.
  • Stationary Work: Occasionally remains standing in one area for extended periods while preparing spa amenities or assisting guests.
  • Tool Operation: Operates laundry machines, carts, cleaning tools, and basic equipment used in spa operations. May also use a computer or point-of-sale system for logging services or inventory.
  • Visual Acuity: Must have visual clarity to monitor spa areas, restock items accurately, and inspect linen quality and cleanliness. Requires the ability to see details at close range.
  • Working Conditions: Frequently works in spa and locker room environments with exposure to heat, humidity, cleaning chemicals, and wet surfaces. Regularly works in a casino property with moderate to high noise levels and a smoking environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the ability to adapt and perform under pressure. The casino operates with moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment, requiring team members to work comfortably in these conditions.

WORKING HOURS:

Morongo Casino Resort & Spa operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; therefore, flexibility in scheduling is essential. Team members must be available to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may include overtime, as well as work on both weekdays and weekends.
