A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a maternity leave position within a supportive school district located in La Fayette, GA. This full-time itinerant role focuses on providing specialized speech and language services to PreK students across multiple daycare sites within the district. The position requires regular travel to approximately 4-5 daycare locations, making it ideal for professionals who enjoy a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to PreK students in various daycare settings across the district.
- Manage caseloads of approximately 13 students directly, with an overall service impact on about 39 students including IEP management.
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to support student development and progress.
- Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with district and state regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist License.
- Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) SLP Educator Certificate.
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with PreK students, is highly preferred.
- Ability to travel daily to multiple daycare locations within the district.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively manage case loads and collaborate with stakeholders.
Location and Duration:
- This position serves multiple daycare locations across the district in La Fayette, GA.
- Contract period is approximately from late December 2025 to early April 2026, with some flexibility for transition days.
- Full-time hours, approximately 37.5 to 40 hours per week.
- This role requires being onsite during service times.
