enior Mechanical Engineer – Switchgear
Join a technology-driven engineering organization designing critical electrical systems used across power, energy, utilities, and mission-critical industries. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex mechanical designs, influence product development, and mentor engineers while working on custom switchgear and enclosure solutions.
What You’ll Do

Lead the mechanical design of custom switchgear, switchboards, and electrical enclosures.

Develop and review 3D models and customer drawings to balance performance, compliance, and manufacturability.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mechanical engineering team members.

Design and integrate mechanical systems supporting circuit breakers, busbar routing, wiring, and assemblies.

Collaborate cross-functionally on new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure designs comply with quality systems and applicable standards.
What You Bring

5–7+ years of mechanical design experience with switchgear, switchboards, or electrical enclosures.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (Inventor, SolidWorks, or equivalent).

Experience in low- and/or medium-voltage systems within power, utilities, energy, defense, or control industries.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Working knowledge of UL 891, UL 1558, and/or UL 67 (preferred).
