Position Overview
As Clinical Care Coordinator, you'll lead a specialized team providing advanced care for patients requiring intermediate and telemetry monitoring. Our unit specializes in cardiac care, stroke management, and complex medical conditions requiring intensive monitoring.
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of a 25-bed Progressive Care/Telemetry Unit
- Lead and mentor nursing staff while maintaining excellence in patient care standards
- Coordinate complex patient care with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Manage advanced cardiac monitoring and specialized medical interventions
- Supervise administration of critical care medications and drips
- Facilitate efficient patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff development
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum 3 years Progressive Care or Telemetry nursing experience
- Previous Charge Nurse experience required
- Current BCLS certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
- ACLS certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
- NIHSS Stroke Certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
