Key Responsibilities
- Service & Repair: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential heating and cooling systems.
- Maintenance: Perform thorough system tune-ups and safety inspections to ensure peak performance.
- Customer Interaction: Clearly explain technical issues and repair options to homeowners.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate digital records of work performed and parts used.
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of HVAC service experience preferred.
- Certification: EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
- Tools: Must possess a full set of personal HVAC hand tools and diagnostic meters. (Company provides specialized/heavy equipment).
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Physical: Ability to work in confined spaces (attics/crawlspaces) and climb ladders.
Required Technical Skills
- Troubleshooting: Expert ability to read wiring diagrams and diagnose electrical/mechanical faults.
- Refrigeration: Proficiency in brazing, leak detection, evacuation, and charging.
- Heating: Experience with gas furnace combustion analysis and safety testing.
- Soft Skills: Punctuality, professional appearance, and strong verbal communication.
