Opportunity Overview

  • An exceptional chance for a BE/BC Neurosurgeon to join a high-performing surgical team in Muskegon, Michigan.
  • Practice in a newly constructed, state-of-the-art facility featuring 20 operating rooms and designated as a Level II Trauma Center.
  • Benefit from access to advanced imaging technologies, modern surgical suites, and robust multidisciplinary neuro support.
  • This full-time position includes 24/7 coverage at the Trinity Health Muskegon campus, encompassing trauma, spine, and general neurosurgical calls; call schedule is 1:4 with PA support. Subspecialty candidates are welcome but must be prepared to handle general and spine calls.
  • Engage in a multispecialty practice that includes neurosurgery, neurology, PM&R spine, and osteopathic manipulation medicine, providing comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services close to the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a full range of cranial and spinal neurosurgical procedures.
  • Provide both inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical consultations and follow-up care.
  • Interpret advanced imaging studies, including MRI, CT, and angiography.
  • Work closely with neurologists, neurointerventionalists, trauma teams, and other specialties.
  • Participate in trauma and spine call as part of a 1:4 rotation, with a PA taking primary call.
  • Deliver patient-centered, high-quality, evidence-based surgical care.

Qualifications

  • Physicians must be board certified in their respective specialty or achieve certification within the timeframe set by the relevant specialty board.
  • Possession of an active Michigan medical license (or the ability to obtain one).
  • DEA license required.
  • BLS certification (must be maintained).
