Director of Pharmacy
Location: Oakland, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM
Compensation: $187,000–$210,000 per year
Summary:
We’re looking for a Director of Pharmacy to lead operations at two community health center pharmacies in California. The Director will act as the Pharmacist-in-Charge, ensure compliance with all state and federal requirements, and oversee the 340B Program and P&T Committee. This position is ideal for a pharmacist with strong leadership skills and a commitment to accessible healthcare.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead multi-site pharmacy operations with focus on safety and compliance
- Supervise pharmacy staff and externs
- Manage 340B Program requirements, audits, and reporting
- Direct P&T Committee initiatives and formulary updates
- Support community outreach and staff education
- Oversee inventory, procurement, and budgeting processes
- Maintain compliance with California Board of Pharmacy regulations
Requirements
- PharmD or BPharm from an accredited institution
- Active California Pharmacist license
- Minimum 5 years of pharmacy practice (FQHC experience preferred)
- 340B Program experience required; PIC experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Spanish-speaking preferred
