Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 2 days onsite) – ROGERS PARK AREA

Pay: $30.00 – $38.00/hour (based on experience)

Job Description:
This is a 6-month contract opportunity with potential to extend. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will lead high-volume, full-cycle recruitment efforts—particularly focused on frontline care roles—while supporting strategic hiring initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit or healthcare recruiting and a genuine commitment to community-based work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, offers, and background checks
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers and department leads to understand staffing needs and hiring priorities
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract top talent across various roles
- Attend job fairs, campus events, and community-based recruitment opportunities
- Build partnerships with local schools, employment agencies, and community organizations
- Leverage applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools to maintain accurate hiring data
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Participate in special projects and cross-functional hiring initiatives
- Promote the organization’s values and mission throughout the recruitment process
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of recruitment experience (nonprofit or healthcare preferred)
- High-volume hiring experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with diverse populations and community partners
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Must be passionate about making a difference through meaningful hiring work
Additional Details:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute paid lunch)
- Hybrid: 2 days onsite per week
- Must be comfortable working in a mission-driven, community-oriented setting
