Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school psychologist position is available in Detroit, MI, offering an opportunity to provide essential psychological services and support to students. This contract position spans the 20262027 school year, working 37.5 hours per week within an onsite school setting. The role involves collaboration with educators and families to assess student needs, develop intervention strategies, and foster mental health and well-being in the educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify student strengths and challenges
- Develop and implement tailored intervention plans in collaboration with school staff and families
- Provide consultation to educators regarding student behavior and learning strategies
- Promote positive mental health initiatives throughout the school community
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success
Qualifications and Experience:
- Michigan School Psychologist Certification is required
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong skills in psychological assessment and intervention techniques
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and educators
- Ability to manage caseload effectively and adapt to diverse student needs
